Associate Research Director, Machine Learning
David Slater is an Associate Research Director of Machine Learning for Two Six Labs. Mr. Slater currently serves as PI on the DARPA MUSE program, leveraging deep convolutional neural networks to annotate source code with functional capabilities, and as technical lead on another program, using neural network embeddings for biometric authentication, identification, and attribution. Previously, he was technical lead for an IC program that used machine learning to detect malware based on dynamic behavior. Prior to Two Six Labs, he led a network sensor development team at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory that supported shot validation for USCYBERCOM cyber exercises. Mr. Slater holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, and has published peer-reviewed papers in applied machine learning and network security.
